Description
An account of the resource
This slumped World War I soldier has his hand on his chest where he is wounded while his left hand still grips his rifle. The soldier sits on a concrete base with a plaque below with the inscription "Lest We Forget" and that it was dedicated by the American Legion Post 389 in 1936. The sculpture today sits in front of the local Military Depot Museum and the memorial to all wars of the 20th century (and a few from the Civil War). Granite markers are inscribed with the names of those from the area lost in these wars as well as the Civil War.
