Most memorials honor fallen comrades. Included in the Garden is a poignant memorial to the children of the British town of Freckleton who died in a B-24 crash in an testing accident; thirty-eight of those killed were five-year old children who were in the school hit by the plane. The reflecting pool honors, Eighth Air Force veteran Ben Love of Texas. There is also a replica of the headstone for Medal of Honor Recipient, James Doolittle as well as the original marker that rested at Arlington National Cemetery.
