var str = 'In 2004 the Cornerstone Honors Program students designed, raised funds, and built this memorial in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. The students researched American monuments in order to choose their own design. Their research produced a striking memorial on our campus composed of individual dog tags with the names of fallen heroes in the order of their death. The tags are riveted to black powder coated panels. The walls that are not under a cover have a copper roof. The design is reminiscent of the Vietnam memorial. As the fighting has continued the memorial outgrew its original wall and additional walls of dog tags with names have been added.';

var str = 'This five-sided (pentagon) granite marker is placed in Section 64 over the group burial site for those who were killed in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 when Flight 77 was crashed into the building. On the marker are inscribed the names of the 184 individuals both in the Pentagon and on the flight who died that day. These fallen heroes were buried as a group following a ceremony in the Memorial Amphitheater in September 2002. Nearby are also individual headstones. Five families did not receive any remains of their loved ones but are part of the group burial marker.';
