This granite marker contains a bronze plaque on top that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 307th Airborne Engineering Battalion participation in the Crossing of the Waal River in in Europe on September 20, 1944. The Battalion was part of group along with the Third Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment that seized the very important Nijmegen Bridge. The marker is located at Ft Bragg.
