This noble bronze statue was created by two army privates – PFS Manfred Bass and PFC Karl Van Krog. They used a fellow soldier, officer candidate Eugene Wyles as their model. The statue of the infantryman shows him with his right arm raised and calling out for his comrades to follow him as he moves ever forward in the face of the enemy. In his left hand he holds his rifle. The statue sits atop a simple square concrete base. It is located in the entrance rotunda of the National Infantryman Museum at Ft Benning Georgia';
