var str = 'Fort Leavenworth is one of the oldest and most important US Army outposts in the west and thus has a long tradition dating back to the 1820s. The first burials at the fort began in 1827. In 1862 when Congress approved the creation of national cemeteries the Fort Leavenworth was one of the original 14 established and the largest in size. The cemetery contains remains from military outposts and battles from across the West as well as from battles in the Civil War. As posts across the west were closed, the remains in post cemeteries were re-interred here.';
