var str = 'This large rock memorial on Ford Island was the original memorial placed at Pearl Harbor to remember the loss of the USS Arizona that was destroyed and sunk by a Japanese bomb on December 7, 1941. The marker was placed on this spot by the Navy Club of America in 1955. The small white concrete and brass plaque marker notes the location of the original berth Fox 7 at which the Arizona was moored on that fateful day.';

var str = 'The USS Arizona battleship lies beneath the shallow waters of Pearl Harbor where it sank on December 7, 1941, when a Japanese bomb pierced its powder magazine and ignited a massive explosion that destroyed the ship. It is one of two ships sunk on that day that were not refloated and remain as memorials to those who were killed on that day of infamy. Within its hulk are entombed 1,177 crewmen. Built in 1962, the white arch memorial spans the wreckage and is one of the most visited sites in the world. The US Navy runs the small boats that ferry visitors to the memorial which overlays the remains of the ship. On the memorial platform the wreckage of the ship can be seen through cuts in the floor; on the front marble wall of the memorial are etched the names of all of the crewmen who were lost. There are also the names of those survivors who have chosen to have their cremated remains placed in navy-issued urns and placed on the deck of the ship each year by Navy divers.';
