var str = 'In what many historians consider the last battle engagement of the US Civil War, Union forces from Brazos Island moved ashore in south Texas to attack reported Confederate outposts. After initially forcing back the Confederate troops and seizing a position on the mainland, a large contingency of Confederate troops arrived with artillery and forced the Union troops to withdraw. This engagement resulted in a minor Confederate victory. The battle occurred on May 12-13, 1865 which was more than a month after General Robert E. Lee had surrendered at Appomattox.';
