This small plaque on a granite base has the Honor Roll list of 28 names of Llano County residents who lost their lives in World War II. It was given by the Llano County Commissioners Court. This monument sits just to the side of the World War I doughboy monument on the Llano County Courthouse Grounds. There is an additional World War II Veterans monument in front of the Courthouse that lists all those who served.

An account of the resource
On a large stone base is set a life-size bronze sculpture of a World War I era doughboy with his rifle in his left hand and his right hand raised in a closed fist. The sculpture is one of those designed by E. M. Viquesney and mass produced in the 1920s and 1930s. .Details included with the soldier are a bedroll, canteen, and a small pack. Beneath the statue is a plaque that lists the names of 17 Llano County citizens who lost their lives during the war. It states "In Grateful Memory" and at the bottom is a quote "If Ye Break Faith With Us We Will Not Sleep". It is dedicated by the Shakespeare Club of Llano, TX.

In front of the Llano County Courthouse sits a rectangular granite stone wall that is dedicated to those from Llano County who gave their lives in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars with the Korean War listed on the left and Vietnam on the right. Under the Korean War there is a single name and he is identified as a recipient of his nation's highest decoration of valor, the Congressional Medal of Honor. "Whitt Lloyd Moreland" is the name of the U.S. Marine and he was awarded the medal on January 5, 1951. His died on May 29, 1951.

This monument to the Confederate War Dead from the Civil War was dedicated by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The white stone monument is topped with Confederate soldier standing with his gun resting with the butt on the ground between his legs. The monument is on one corner of the grounds around the Llano County Courthouse. There are many very similar monuments with the same Confederate soldier statue throughout the South.
