The Liberty Memorial which was built in the Egyptian-revival style was completed and dedicated in 1926. In 2004 the Memorial was designated as the National World War I Memorial and the museum was rebuilt and enlarged. The museum houses and extensive collection of World War I artifacts as well as a research center. ';
