This granite square open-air temple which is supported by eight columns is topped by a Confederate soldier with his hands resting on his rifle and is inscribed with the dates 1861-1865. Under the temple roof rests a kneeling woman draped in a long gown with her head downcast. An inscription indicates it is dedicated to “Our Fallen Heroes”. The memorial was erected by the Stephen Dill Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1912.
