This striking memorial is composed of a six-sided polished dark gray granite marker in front of a half circle wall of granite. On the top of the wall is inscribed “WWII Rangers Led the Way” with a Combat Infantryman’s Badge. On the face of the front marker is inscribed the Ranger Battle Honors for World War II. On the sides of the base are quotes from U.S. Presidents and U.S. Generals Ridgeway, Truscott and Clark describing and praising the Rangers. On the wall are listed the individual 1st thru 6th Ranger Battalions with the names of those men who were killed in action. On the far right side are listed the Rangers who were killed while serving in the Canadian/American First Special Force at Anzio Beachhead Italy.
